Art Macao 2021, a four-month international cultural and artistic art biennale led by the Institute for Cultural Bureau of Macao SAR Government, returns with the theme of “To Create for Well-being” which also marked the return of the global art festival circuit.

The art festival runs parallel through physical exhibitions while simultaneously offering online 3D showcases. By bridging the festival’s physical and digital elements, Art Macao aims to amplify participating galleries, artists, and cultural programming to global audiences.

“JUXTAPOSE” was presented as a Special Exhibition in “Art Macao: Macao International Art Biennale 2021”.

“Despite numerous challenges, the meticulous planning and preparations by SCULPTUREATWORK were instrumental in the success of the exhibition. Without the passion, tireless and expertise from the people of SCULPTUREATWORK, this ambitious project will never have been put together in the excellent form it is, and we hope those who have the opportunity to visit will be able to appreciate it to the fullest extent, especially if they had realised the challenges we all faced during the process.” Mr. Willam, Executive director of Galaxy Entertainment Group Foundation said.

While the pandemic substantially impacted the arts and cultural heritage sector, local artists and creative entities are still allowed to shine on the international platform. This act has regained its footing and reinstalled the faith of the art scene in Malaysia.
