Work, home, sleep, repeat.
If you seek to escape from this life mantra, perhaps it’s time to dispel the illusion with a rendezvous with Psycusix.
Psycusix is a troupe of performers introducing nouveau cirque or contemporary circus in Malaysia.
That means they have done away with the garish tent, clowns and inhumane animal show for a more sophisticated spectacle of acrobatics, theatre and illusion.
Their upcoming show on November 12, titled “Rendezvous” invites you to look deeper at the pieces and people that make up the mechanical monotony of daily life.
Might they reveal a more profound story of inspired dreamers moving towards a bright future with passion instead?
Well, you’ll have to check it out for yourself at Publika’s The Square. After all, there’s no fee to see.
So who exactly are Psycusix?
The group comprises of four main performers and touts itself as a leading contemporary circus performing group in Malaysia specialising in fire and light shows.
For the 8pm show on November 12, Psycusix are collaborating with international artists as well such Dai Zaobab from Japan, Marvin Ong from the USA and Legato Visual Performing Arts group from the Philippines.
Another group of Malaysian circus performers Viva Vertical are also part of the show.
Rendezvouz is also in cooperation with Persatuan Seni Sarkas Moden, an association that aims to bring forth the circus arts movement to the local community.
They are also offering free workshops for the public on 13 November, between 3pm and 7pm in Publika’s The Square.
