You and I by Zoey Lee

The beautiful sunset shone before our eyes,

As we held hands enjoying this breathtaking moment,

Smiling from ear to ear and looking at each other,

Reminiscing those days when we first met.

Young and naïve,

We fell in love,

Never miss a single moment together,

And always being each other’s support.

Cheeky and adventurous,

We prank one another,

Sharing lame granny jokes,

We laughed all day.

On special occasions,

Gifts weren’t needed,

Because all we needed was each other to spend time with,

And that’s all that matters.

Looking back was nostalgic,

Thinking of the things we used to do,

But as we’re older,

Everything changes.

But to my loved one,

No matter how hard life can be,

And no matter how much pain we must go through,

I will always be here,

Not for you, but with you,

And I promise that we will make it till the end,

Because all we need is each other,

With both of our strengths,

Nothing can bring us down,

As long as we keep moving forward.
