The ordinary man
stayed at home
during the MCO
followed the guidelines
washed his hands
used hand sanitizers
and face masks.
The ordinary man
was always one feet apart
the leader of the family
ensured food in his household
without hoarding
sufficient and adequate
The ordinary man
was not pleased
he was helpless
he was depressed seeing the curve
the best for him
was to stay at home.
The ordinary man
wanted to serve
he did his best
stayed indoors
knew he could do it.
The ordinary man
volunteered himself
donated and assisted
groceries for the needy
helped in preparing food
served the homeless.
The ordinary man
cared for the strays
served them food
made the packs happy
the litters were contented.
The ordinary man
thanked the frontliners
inspiring messages
and appealing to the public
we can do it
flatten the curve
for a better world.
