The day I forgot you
I missed my route; was late
but…my appointment was good
there were no disturbance.
The day I forgot you
the kakak’s teh tarik
with square biscuits
was refreshing
Uncle Tam’s char keoy teow
really had taugeh and prawns
with mouth watering clams.
The day I forgot you
I smiled
at the person on the lift
at the person opposite me
at the birds near the pole
the long lost smile…
The day I forgot you
the stroll was lively
the park was welcoming
with greeneries and blooms
little giggles were music to the ears.
The day I forgot you
I watched
the human behaviour
they only wanted you
only you…
you were so vital
that all have forgotten
the little beautiful things around.
