“Writers end up writing about their obsessions. Things that haunt them; things they can’t forget; stories they carry in their bodies waiting to be released.”
― Natalie Goldberg

Tales, stories, that darkness hidden
within you.
Lurking deep where no light shines:
the subterranean depths.
And as such, told again
and again,
for in the telling
the power is lost,
in the telling, it is proclaimed –
let there be light
as it shineth in the darkness
and the darkness comprehended it not.
From age to age,
a struggle, a battle
against the powers that be,
powers that shaped us
until all at once
the realisation –
not darkness, not good or evil.
Merely a wild force, untamed
running through veins
doing that dance
we do.
