Recently Eksentrika served as media partners for Eccentric Event Management, a group of highly enthusiastic students from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) who organised Home Stage Season 2.

The objective of the competition was to bring awareness to the latent talent available in Southeast Asia and at the same time bring joy to millions who were at home due to the pandemic while learning the ropes on how to organise events.

The virtual singing competition, held in June, drew a total of 1,500 viewers via live streaming and received an excellent response. The participants were from Malaysia, Indonesia, and Singapore, and they competed for six weeks, each with a distinct theme given by the organiser.

Bangi-based Nur Dalilah Husna Ahmad beat eight of the finalists and was crowned the Champion of Home Stage Season 2 at the Grand Finale held on Eventgers Studio’s YouTube channel on June 26 2021.

Husna, who sang “Bunga Tanjung” during the Grand Finale, received numerous praises for her creativity and mellifluous vocals. The Akademi Seni Budaya dan Warisan Kebangsaan (ASWARA) student received monetary prize of RM1,200 and an official plaque.

Coming in second place was Natalia aka Naya from Palangka Raya Kalimantan Tengah, Indonesia. This was Naya’s first time participating in an international virtual singing competition. She was Husna’s stiffest competition due to her energetic voice.

Naya brought home RM900 cash prize along with an official plaque from Home Stage Season 2.

Meanwhile, Fajar Putra Wicaksana, also from Indonesia won third place at the competition. He performed a stunning cover of Jaclyn Victor’s “Gemilang” which won him praise from Malaysians.
