Midnight rendezvous
Under the winter moonlight
Eyes flashing, whiskers twitching
Lil’ paws ploughing through the snow
Longing for the heat
The warmth of burning woods
And curling in front of the fireplace…

The arrival of sunny spring
Merry birds chirping in the trees
Blossoms blooming and petals raining
Saying farewell to the cold winter
Wrestling and tumbling on the grass
Chasing butterflies and ladybugs
Napping in the garden under the swing…

Long summer days with shorter nights
Morning sunlight casting sunbeams
On the living room floor
Snatching one after another
Keeping the kitty preoccupied
While waiting for the afternoon snack…

Soothing chill of the autumn breeze
Seeping through the window cracks
Marking the end of scorching summer
Spotting squirrels gathering acorns
Darting from branch to branch
Planning an ambush if one
Happens to visit the birdfeeder
Next to the garden gnome and rabbit statue…
