Born in Penang, Chee Lin was inspired to dance at the age of 13 when he joined the dance society in Chung Ling Private High School. During this period, he learned Chinese classical and ethnic
dances, and participated in numerous performances and competitions where he won many awards and accolades.

In 2018, he began training and dancing at Euphoria Penang Modern Dance Ensemble led by Aida Redza. In 2020, he joined ZXC Theatre Troupe, where his journey in theatre performance began.
