The pen is mightier the sword’, said Edward Bulwer-Lytton. Expression is a form of art and there is no better way to express it than through writing. Shasha has been writing since she was five. She started off by writing customised birthday cards for her parents. As time grew, she developed a keen interest in poems and short stories and tried to write her own poems. Her poems evoke a poignant form of emotions and she tries to keep them short. Being non-conventional, her poems are all free verse. Her favourite poet is the late Rabindranath Tagore who won the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1913. Tagore is a huge inspiration to Shasha’s style of writing as he has a unique way of portraying human values in his compositions.
