Kenny was born in Ipoh. He studied architecture at the University of Bath from 1995 to 2001. He obtained his Master of Architecture (RIBA II) in 2001, Post Grad Dip Architecture (RIBA III) from University of Kingston and the Royal Institute of British Architects Charteredship in 2004. He worked for IDOM UK, a Spanish based multi-disciplinary practice in London and Spain and Arup Associates between 2001 – 2010. He was involved in several landmark projects, including the award-winning data centre project for Citigroup in Frankfurt, Germany and the Ropemaker Place, a LEED certified Class A office development in the City of London.
Upon returning to Malaysia in 2011, Kenny gained his Malaysian Professional Architect Board qualification in 2014 and formed A3 PROJECTS (formerly known Arch Cubic) with his partner, Ar Ho Choon Sin. He is currently also part of the teaching team running an urban design studio at Taylor’s University, Subang Jaya.
