Hiroshi Koike is a performing arts director based in Japan. He is a professor in the Department of Spatial Design at Musashino Art University.

After continuing with Papa Tarahumara for 30 years (1982-2012), he currently leads the Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project. The initiative established in June 2012 was created in 16 countries and performed in 41 countries.

Hiroshi Koike Bridge Project focuses on the word “creation” as a mission to build a bridge through three activities: Creation, Education and Communication.

Its aim is to produce stages that connect people to people, regions, culture and society, the past to the present and then to the future, to
navigate the currents and move forward into a new era.

To date, it has created 28 productions reaching audiences in Japan and around the world.
