Gogularaajan Rajendran a.k.a Gogu is a filmmaker based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

He is also a director, editor, writer, and artist.

After graduating from Architecture School, he pursued filmmaking by working freelance for clients and on personal projects.

Through his works, Gogu wants to tell his audiences that magic does exist and it can be achieved through innocence.

Gogu has edited a few local feature films, notably “Metro Maalai ”.

His short film “Bird on the 27th floor” has been selected for Seashores thank Festival 2021, and his short film “Virus Mairus” won the Kuman Pictures Challenge. He has also acted in two local telemovies.

Gogu participated in the 2017 Young Filmmaker Workshop (Finas and AFA Busan), 2021 YFW Producer’s Lab (Next New Wave and Finas), 2021 Bucheon International Fantastic Film School, and Southeast Asian Project Pitch (Seapitch 2021).

He is currently developing his script for his debut feature film, “Kaali”.
