Gaurav Kripalani, artistic director of the Singapore Repertory Theatre, was born in India and moved to Singapore with his family when he was 12. His love for theatre started from the age of five, when he starred in his first play. He has been with the SRT for 20 years after graduating with degrees in theatre and political science at Santa Clara University in the US.
