Desmond’s journey in the performing arts began at a young age when he discovered his love for singing and music. He then joined the Penang Symphony Orchestra and Penang Jazz Society as
the principal bassist/singer and soon after realized his passion for the stage, when he began working at the Penang Performing Arts Centre (PenangPAC).

Despite not having a background in theatre and performing arts, he was determined to learn as much as he could in his time at the PenangPAC from key industry performers and productions.
Desmond’s dedication and hard work paid off when he landed his first role in a comedy production in 2020 called Syiok Sendiri directed by John de Silva. Since then, he has been actively involved
in the industry, performing in musicals and plays.
