Blessings in The Town is a Christmas poem by Malaysian poet, Malini Lakshmi Bai. We’d like to take this opportunity to wish all of our readers a Merry & Blessed Christmas.
The joy of Christmas is here again
Love and light for family and friends
Together we rejoice and reunite
Together we celebrate on Christmas Day.
Grandfather and grandmother baked a gingerbread man for us
We prepared the Christmas ornaments under the moonlight
Candles and carols filled the ambience
Well, it’s Christmas again.
Teacher Grace made Christmas crafts for us
We gathered in school and exchanged greetings and gifts
Children rejoiced and enjoyed the treats
After all, it’s Christmas again.
Glimmering stars and shiny baubles illuminated the Christmas tree
Mom and Dad bought us cookies, gifts and toys
Children on the street waited eagerly for Santa Claus on his sleigh
To receive the gifts on Christmas Day
Love and light on Christmas Day.
