The sensation of someone holding your hands,
The light but unmistakable grip,
The reverie of the long-lost burning desire,
The surreal presence of a much-loved companion,
Sitting right next to you,
It seemed so real.
And that sudden, cruel realization,
It could not possibly be real.
As it was certainly a dream,
And yet it seemed so real.
At times, there was a blurred face,
A gentle smile, a reassuring stance,
Casual laughter and muffled conversation,
Like an echo of unresolved misunderstanding,
Resurfacing itself in a dream.
